Move your bio link without leaving visitors behind
Rebuild and test your new page before changing the link on your social profiles. This checklist works for a manual move from Linktree, Beacons, Lnk.Bio or another service.
Product details reviewed October 9, 2026.
1. Save the content you control
Make a list of your current link titles, full destination URLs, profile text and images. Save copies of artwork you own or are allowed to reuse. Export data from the old service if it offers an export you can access.
Record where you shared the old URL: social profiles, videos, email signatures, QR codes, printed material and partner websites. An old QR code will keep pointing to the old destination unless you control its redirect.
2. Rebuild the important path first
Create a NexLink account in the web editor, Android app or iOS app. Choose an available username and add your main destination before the secondary links. Use a recognizable name and avatar so returning visitors know they reached you.
Free currently supports up to two sites with 50 links per page, studio design, scheduling and lead capture. Check current plan limits before recreating your previous page. This guide describes a manual rebuild; NexLink does not promise to automatically import another vendor’s profile.
3. Verify destinations and publish
- Open each destination and check that it matches its label.
- Replace shortened URLs with the full destination when possible.
- Remove expired offers and placeholder contact details.
- Check the page on a phone and verify your important action is easy to find.
- Publish and open bio.nexl.ink/your-name in a signed-out window.
4. Update every place you shared the old link
Change your profile website fields to the new public URL. Update email signatures, channel descriptions and any QR redirects you control. Do not paste the editor URL into your public bio.
Keep the old page available during the transition when the old service still works and its terms permit it. An old vendor URL cannot be redirected by NexLink; change it at the source or through controls that service provides.
5. Check the transition
Ask someone to follow the new link from your actual social profile. Check for permission prompts, broken destinations and a mismatch between the displayed title and the landing page.
Review your new page’s activity after publication. Compare clicks with context rather than assuming counts from different vendors measure the same thing. Your shop or booking service remains the source for completed transactions.
If the previous service is unavailable
Use your own saved content, screenshots or exports. If you cannot access a profile, there may be nothing to import. Recreate the content you can verify and avoid copying private or unlicensed material.
Bento’s homepage redirected to Linktree in our October 9, 2026 check. The Bento alternative guide explains how to plan a rebuild; it does not promise recovery of deleted data.
