When a one-page site beats a link page
Use Carrd when the bio destination should feel like a landing page: longer copy, sections, forms, embeds or a custom domain. Linktree is faster when you mainly need an ordered list of destinations with creator-oriented extras.
You can use Carrd as a link-in-bio page, but you design the layout yourself rather than starting from a link-row editor.
Ease of setup
Linktree’s editor is optimized for adding and reordering profile links quickly. Carrd’s editor is a general page builder with elements, sections and Pro widgets.
If you only need five buttons and a photo, Linktree usually takes fewer decisions. If you need a custom layout, Carrd gives more control.
Choose Carrd if…
- You need a custom domain on a one-page site (Pro Standard+).
- You want forms, embeds or Stripe Checkout widgets Carrd documents on Pro.
- You are building a mini landing page, not only a list of links.
Choose Linktree if…
- You want unlimited free basic links and a bio-link-first editor.
- You rely on Linktree audience or commerce features you have verified.
- You prefer a creator-oriented plan matrix over a general site builder.
A simpler third option
NexLink sits closer to Linktree’s job: a designed bio link page. It does not offer custom domains. Free includes up to two sites and 50 links per page; Pro removes branding for $4.99/mo or $29.99/yr.
If a custom domain is required, Carrd Pro Standard is the shortlist option in this comparison; NexLink is not.
Sources and limits
Official sources checked October 15, 2026. Published by NexLink; this is a documentation-based comparison, not an independent hands-on ranking.
Check the official plan details before switching. Features, regional availability and billing terms change. NexLink links to your existing checkout; it does not replace a native storefront. We have not published a controlled cross-vendor speed benchmark.
